Historical Background
In 2003, The Data Corporation (TDC), a financial and IT consultancy provider, with the help of its diverse, qualified and experienced team of experts developed an Enterprise Resource Planning software, called “Easy Accountant”. The software was developed using Microsoft based platform, Visual Basic 6.0 for programming and SQL Server 2000 as its back-end data base. The software was implemented at various organizations between the years 2003-2014.
Dot net (. net) was launched by Microsoft in 2003 but it was in 2012 where there was a boom in cloud computing and web based data handling became a part of corporate level data storage, taking advancements in the Information Technology sector to a whole new level, offering services that none other could. In 2014, Visual Basic 6.0 eventually got obsolete and The Data Corporation came across a plan to revive Easy Accountant with an update and advancement that could serve organizations in accordance with the International Standards. The Data Corporation along with its team started upgrading its already existing Enterprise Resource Solution to better cater its customers, now using Microsoft .Net platform along with upgrading SQL Server 2008/2012 as its back-end data base and C# .Net as its front-end language. Subsequently, after the development process was complete, Easy Accountant was rebranded to be resold as “Accounttrak”, offering multiple modules catering to the needs of all kinds of organizations with an upgraded function of being used as a web based/cloud based software, which could previously be only used as a desktop based application. Taking advantage of the new developments in the field of IT, Accounttrak switched to dot net (.net) adding more controls, an advance framework, new libraries and better database management to its existing technology solutions. Couple this with Accounttrak being a Web based software, this advancement allowed clients to use this application with real time access, at any time and place of their choice which in return made it easy for the organization to understand and implement, soaring its sale figures in the following years.
